Sometimes I even surprise myself with the candid pictures I manage to snag when I am out and about. One of my theater contacts told me they were doing a stage performance of Robin Hood in conjunction with the local renaissance fair, and they wanted me to take the stage pictures for the play. It was a lot of fun! I got to set up a lot of different angles and catch the different actors as they went through their paces, at least until they couldn’t find the leads and sent me out to find them.

Well, apparently they were taking their roles rather seriously, because they had found a nice secluded spot for ‘Robin’ and ‘Marion’ to get a little tryst away from the big mean sheriff. As much as I do all sorts of commercial work now, I still like to get out there and find what mischief I can get into on my own. I have a few places I like to wander where I can get some really pretty shots, and that I know for a fact will bring out the furs that want to get into some mischief. I won’t deny that I love catching couples up to wicked fun, especially when they let me stay and take pictures.

This time I was visiting a friend of mine down south, so they still had some decent weather. I decided to walk through their nearby park and of course, brought my camera. As much as I like to catch my friends in their ‘candid moments’ for their photo shoots, enough word has gotten around that every once in a while I get asked to do some more rigged up shoots. Some people don’t like to lean on clichés and stereotypes, but there’s something to be said for a little old fashioned tradition. With all the furry races out there, a few species still end up a bit rare. More vacation pictures! I travelled all over, but some of my favorite places were when I roamed all over the savannah with just a guide, my camera equipment, and a lot of time. Sure, it got lonely at times, but most of the time it was an absolute blast, especially since my guide was friends with all the tribes and cultures along the route. We were never short of company of any kind we wanted, and I got some great, candid snapshots of life.

One of my favorite moments captured on film was with a small community of cheetahs that had a their campsite near one of the local waterholes.
